Jeremy Scott - Round the World Cyclist

Major open heart surgery as a four-year-old child taught Jeremy that life was precious and something to cherish. He began to see life as a rollercoaster ride, filled with challenges and experiences. Some of those challenges were forced upon him, others were of his own design.

On the 5th October 2011, Jeremy began a challenge that was of his own design, a journey that was many years in the planning; a 2 ½ year, 51,916km unsupported bicycle ride from London to New Zealand. As he pedalled his way around the planet he accumulated more than enough kilometres to circumnavigate the earth.

At the conclusion of this phenomenal journey, Jeremy wrote the highly successful book ‘The Long Road From a Broken Heart’ and now dedicates his life to inspiring others.

Jeremy is a recipient of the Australian Heart Foundation 'Heart Hero Award' and an Ambassador for Waterline Challenge.

Jeremy is an engaging speaker with an extraordinary story about the power of perseverance and overcoming the odds. - James Kay, Lonely Planet, London

You took us on a journey of hope, persistence, and optimism and showed us that happy endings are possible. Your light hearted style of telling your story captured our imagination and reminded us that sheer persistence can get to an end goal. -  Julie Mason, District Governor, Rotary District 9800, Australia

Jeremy is a terrific person whose life experiences and natural speaking skills place him in an ideal position to share his unique and motivational story with all types of audiences. I have no hesitation in recommending him as a speaker, presenter or ambassador who would be a valued addition to any team or event. -  Paul Somerville, Australian International School, Singapore

When Jeremy speaks, people listen. His own courage, determination and relentless desire to persist through the most demanding of situations, highlights what anyone can achieve in life if they can muster the courage to take the first step. Through his inspirational and entertaining presentation, people realise that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary feats.

Imspiring young ladies

Inspired by the way Alice lived her life with love, passion and enthusiasm, her family established the Alice Sloan Trust in December 2005.

Over the years the Alice Sloan Trust has formed partnerships with other organisations, working together to provide young people with opportunities to experience life-changing activities and adventures. Incorporating the positive qualities that characterized the way Alice lived her life, her journey has continued through the contribution to the lives of many in her name.

The Alice Sloan Trust aims to provide young people from all walks of life with opportunities to participate in varied pursuits that foster fun, friendship and the promotion of personal development. A sub-fund of the Australian Communities Foundation, The Trust provides a vehicle through which tax deductible donations can be made to support the activities of the Alice Sloan Trust.

From these small beginnings we look forward to growing a vibrant organisation that continues to explore a range of ways our community can make a difference to the lives of young people.
