Two worthy science students from Year 11 at Alexandra Secondary College have commenced their applications to be accepted into the National Youth Science forum which occurs in Canberra in January 2026. We wish them luck for their online selection process.
Alexandra Community Hub L2P car
L2P program helps young people become safe drivers by providing a modern car and voluntary mentors to give valuable driving skills and experience whilst they are learning.
The Youth Committee donated $3000 towards purchasing a new MG SUV to replace the old car which had reached the cut off age for a ANCAP safety rating.
Rotary Youth Exchange
The Youth Committee continues to support the Youth Exchange program and is currently organising a returned Exchange student from Yea to speak to the Year 9’s and 10’s at Alexandra Secondary College about her experiences. We hope to gauge the interest locally that this may stimulate.
I would like to thank the Youth Committee members and members of the Alexandra Rotary Club for their ongoing support throughout the year especially during my long absence.
