We are currently in the process of producing vouchers for those affected by the fire $100 each that can be used in Alexandra.
These are accepted by the local foodworks, petrol station, clothing shops, mechanics, pharmacy, hairdresser to name a few.

In 2009 $65,000 was distributed in vouchers, these not only help those affected but help local businesses survive. Those receiving the vochurers can decide what they need. We start with $100 and then they can request more as needed. After over 50 years in the town I know most of the residents.
Withe Alexandra Lions Club we are holding a casual social night for the local CFA members and their families at On Point Brewery, Friday Jan 30.
We don't need clothes etc at the moment, storage is a problem and those affected don't have anywhere to keep the items.
