The Rotary Club of Alexandra takes its hat(s) off to the Alexandra for their support of Rotary Hat day on Friday October 7.   $500 was raised to and 100% goes directly to research helping the one in five Australians affected by depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and many other mental illnesses.  This year there will be a special focus on projects that support veterans and their families.  Project coordinator Jeanette Lovett said that the funds raised is only part of the program the other important part is for people to talk a bout how they feel.   Hat day allows the community to have some fun and begin the conversation about “how are you” .  A very special thank you for the strong support from Reddrops Foodworks, Essence Coffee Lounge,  Alexandra Pharmacy, Footsteps Shoe Store, Alexandra Hotel, Yenckens Hardware, Grant Street Grocer and the Staff at The Murrindindi Shire Offices that ensured Hat Day was well promoted.
